Vintage Pretty Gritty day!

These ladies had the right idea – get out and enjoy the snow (if you can brave the cold!)

Left: Polly Harrison (daughter of former Louisville Mayor William B. Harrison) stands in the snow with skis. 1936.

Right: Woman stands in [what appears to be] Cherokee Park wearing a suit, hat, and fur muff. Circa 1910.

Going back through our archives for 2013, its nearly impossible to narrow down our favorites for the year. The few posted above are just a handful.

As always, its thrilling to be out on Louisville’s streets hunting down what makes our city style unique. We’ve also been lucky to seek out great street style in places like NYC, Austin, Atlanta, Amherst, Chicago, and even the Navajo Reservation this year.

2014 will bring exciting updates, new projects and posts, and our continued style section contributions in Louisville Magazine. Thanks for reading, and Happy New Year!

Fans at Beyonce. Spotted by Amber

Unfortunately for all of us, they didn’t allow cameras at the Beyonce concert last week. Fan outfits were out of control awesome. Here are two ladies I managed to snap with my phone. Everyone who was on the floor left the show with gold confetti stuck in their hair. Amazing show!

Are you enjoying her surprise album?
